Why blazedog.com ? This web site is named after our family Labrador Retriever named Blaze.  We have had Blaze since he was 7 weeks old.  He’s now 12 years old and in great shape.   Blaze and I walk 1 mile every morning walk every morning.   As soon as he thinks I am ready for the walk he will run to the front door and dance around like a puppy.

Who am I? I work for a large technology company in the Phoenix, Arizona area. I have over 16 years of experience testing software on Windows, Linux and embedded systems. I have spent most of my career writing tools to automate testing of software.

My wife, two daughters and Blaze moved to the Phoenix area in 2004. It was kind of a moonshot; we bought a house here on Mother’s Day after spending a whole weekend here. We sold and moved 2,800 miles from New Hampshire to the Valley of the Sun. The moving truck pulled up to our new house the 2nd week in July; it was about 110F  outside.  We have all enjoyed our transition to the Valley of the Sun. The weather is wonderful 8 months of the year; really hot for four months.  The move has given us a chance to explore and learn about a completely different part of the country.

Mission Statement: The Mission of this blog is to Create an outlet to share new ways to get things done.  I will focus on one new goal per month; post short daily updates, a weekly summary and an overall monthly summary of how I did on the goal.   The goals will be things I will change to better myself.   I will will also post links to articles of interest to me (and hopefully you).
